This is a shell off removed shell from chassis/frame restoration that is 75 80 complete.
All of the hard work has been done and ready for you to finish the easy, fun parts into whatever you would like it to be...all in the 21 foot, very difficult to find model. Easy to tow with practically anything. Pulls like a dream.
I have spent over 6 months: 400 hours of labor, huge amount of parts, plus additionally over 40 hours of polishing.
Ready to be completed by you for any purpose!
Complete, very well done restoration for whatever you want to make it and a LOT of parts included in the sale, to finish the job to whatever you choose to make this platform into: tiny home, live in trailer, small office, food truck trailer, vintage shop, rolling marketing piece, etc. etc. etc.
Almost way too much to list of what has been done to this 1974 Land Yacht Globetrotter:
The shell was completely removed lifted off of the frame/chassis ; the chassis was removed to offsite and refurbished by a trailer repair facility: re welded, and the entire rear section under the old bathroom was redone with new box rails, etc. The frame is incredibly solid, does not have that typical old Airstream rear sagging; and has been stripped, primed, and "rust reformer" treated and painted with two coats of rust prevention paint.
The entire old wood subfloor was removed incl. all old insulation, belly pan, etc. . The subfloor was replaced with 3/4 inch high grade wood that was treated with 2 full coats all sides and edges of Total Boat Super Penetrating Epoxy resin for complete water protection....allowed to fully cure, then reinstalled. All seams were "connected" via water tight connecting wood bonding material.
The entire interior has been stripped to the walls all interior furniture, all skins, all old wiring, etc. ; disinfected and cleaned of all residue.
Roof has been primed and BusKote'd not visible from the street but like brand new Airstreams , ceramic infused NASA technology paint, reducing temps.
Complete interior walls have been primed and BusKote'd as well for heat resistance and water leak prevention.
New Fantastic fans.
New Low Profile 13,500K Quiet AC with Heat Pump, Remote, Non Ducted.
New trailer operation wiring loom and connections all exterior lights brand new and work: running, brakes, back up, tail, etc.
New trailer to tow vehicle wiring multi pin connector and extremely long and heavy gauge wire bundle
The electrical to hook up the brand new A/C, Fantastic Fans, etc. to shore connection has NOT been done.
New wheel wells...custom made .placed in situ and sealed to get you home without any water intrusion.
New rub rails upper and lower.
New window hardware including impossible to find custom machined window fastener latches/locks, and knobs.
New window stays all windows match.
New fresh water tank 45 gallon installed. Plumbing hoses per your individual specifications will have to be completed.
New grey/black water tanks two of them : 22 X 54 X 8 inches each: 33 gallons each come with the sale ready to be installed
Original corroded and non functional KT Lock replaced with updated version now locks, opens and shuts as it should.
All gaskets on windows and doors have been replaced.
Entire trailer: clear coat removed and polished with 3 step Zephyr system...over 40 hours in polishing.
New A frame trailer coupler and safety chains
All new bearings, brakes and seals in axles.
New shocks
Brand new tires including spare .
New manual trailer jack
4 new trailer chocks
A lot of leftover aluminum parts come with it. We even have the original interior plastic upper clam shell for the rear if you want it, and including a LOT of rivets of multiple sizes.
I cannot stress enough how much time, effort and energy has been put into this and it was done CORRECTLY and diligently every step of the way.
