1968 Airstream Overlander 26 - New Mexico

New professional opportunities require me to relocate and to pass this long awaited project to another Airstream enthusiast.

Exterior skins in good condition with minor hail damage to front and rear center panels. Rear and curbside awning windows and forward fixed pane windows above and below are original Corning glass; remaining windows will need to be replaced.

Twin bed layout with room in the front for dinette or sofa bed conversion.

Interior skins and end caps in place and in very good condition. Beautiful, rich Honduran Mahogany partitions and cabinets.

Front two sheets of 3/4 plywood sub flooring have been removed. Rear sheet of sub flooring will also need to be replaced. Remainder of subfloor is solid.

New water heater, furnace and kitchen appliances will need to be purchased and installed.

Copper plumbing has been removed to make way for PEX upgrade. Original drains remain in place and in good condition. Fresh water tank originally installed beneath front window , pump and filter will need to be purchased and installed. Installation of a self contained toilet will eliminate the need for a black water holding tank and allow existing tank to be used for gray water with minimal modification.

Rear bath includes tub/shower in good condition and space for a toilet. Molded fiberglass vanity and wall units have been removed but are available for refinishing and installation.

Unique sturdy support for front window AC is welded to the tongue and affords ample cool air while working inside. Electrical and duct for standard roof mounted AC is also present.

Original electrical wiring and fixtures are in place but have not been tested.

New tires Goodyear Marathon ST 225/75R 15 and bearings packed as of March 2021 in preparation for towing 700 miles from Austin to Albuquerque.

Clear New Mexico title in hand; registration current.
