PENDING SALE as of 5/12
18,500 OBO
Beautiful airstream
caravel that has been restored and has been used for family camping for the last several years. My family is outgrowing it now, and it's bittersweet to be selling. We updated a number of the systems fairly recently:
new axle assembly, including new 12" electric brakes
new wheels, tires, hubcaps
new trailer wiring harness, marker lights, and tail lights.
new propane regulator and tanks.
new electrical system, centered around an Inteli Power 9200 charger amp; converter unit
completely new Marmoleum flooring
new cushions, composed of mixed high amp; low density foam for a very comfy feel, upholstered with Sunbrella fabric very UV and stain resistant .
new Sunbrella fabric curtains.
new Norcold 2 way refrigerator, which can run on propane or AC power.
refurbished / refinished wood in interior
added bunk above couch bed see pics , which could easily be removed.
new solid surface Corian countertop.
new water pump, pressure tank, and water piping.
LED lighting throughout
new Fan tastic fan in roof.
There remain things which are not new, that the next owner may want to update/upgrade:
the toilet is the original one. Works fine for us, but I could see value in upgrading it.
the stove is the original one. All three burners work well. We've lit the oven once or twice to make sure it lights ok, but we haven't used it much.
the original heater was removed and we used a catalytic heater whenever we needed heat not that often in the Southwest! . I still have the original vintage Dura flame heater and this could be added back in or a new heater installed.
the water heater has also been removed. All the hookups are still there, but we didn't need the hot water and wanted to save the weight and gain the storage.
related to the water heater removal, there's no shower handle amp; curtain. I have the old vintage shower handle that could be restored.
Overall the trailer works wonderfully and my family and I have had a great time traveling the Southwest in it. All the present systems work well, but as mentioned above some systems are incomplete. The outside passenger side has some marks from I think a branch or other object scraping the side of the trailer. These were there when we bought it and I don't know the details of what happened but buyer should be aware that the exterior is not in perfect condition. The trailer has been stored in the dry Southwest all its life, a climate great for preserving classic trailers. Clean title; ready to sell. Please feel free to ask any questions.
