Dexter 11 Lift kit modified for Airstream install - Alabama

As many of you are aware I install quite a few Airstream lift kits each month. The problem with installing a lift kit on an Airstream is you can t get a wrench on the back side of the bolt to hold it while tightening them. This requires the lift kit bolts to be modified by welding a stop tab to the head of the bolt which will allow The bolt to swage in place and not spin. You can then tighten the Nuts to the required torque. The bolts are Grade 5 tempered so care has to be taken when welding the stop tabs in place to not let the bolt get to hot and loose it s temper.

I had modified tons of these kits and have decided to offer the modified kits for sale here for the DIY ers who want to install their on kit but do not have access to a welder to modify the kit.

etrailer lists these kits for 256.53 at current, but that price fluctuates regularly you as much as 305.96 depending on stock.

Buy these kits in bulk and will sell the modified kits for 300 plus shipping.

GMFL,

Dumb question, from the axle tag below, how do I tell if I have a #10 or #11 axle.

This is on my 2007 22’ International CCD that has dual axles, but no OEM shocks at all. I discovered this when I got new tires put on last year.

Of course if I’m involved, it’s going to be weird or unique...the Department of Overkill Engineering is like that...

You really can't, but if you call Dexter with the tag info, they can pull the build sheet for that axle.

If you measure the axle mounting plate. 10ā€¯ =#10. 11ā€¯ =#11

Anyone know how to get in touch with Ronnie at Airstream_Nuts_and_Bolts or GMFL?

I would like to purchase the kit with the modified bolts but can’t seem to get an email response nor private message? I”ve been trying for over a week. Maybe it’s going to the junk mail folder or maybe he is on vacation somewhere.

Thanks
