2008 Airstream Safari SE 25 - Colorado

Title: 2008 Airstream Safari SE 25 - Colorado
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

Price Reduced! Comes with lots of upgrades most Safaris don’t have. Neither too long nor too short, this very popular Safari (now called Flying Cloud and having an MSRP in the $85,000+ range) 25’ Front Bed queen can be hard to find. Clear title (no salvage title problems). Once you have one, you’ll want to keep it. This Special Edition was positioned between the standard Safari and the International trim lines in celebration of Airstream’s 75th anniversary. 2008 was the last year for the convenient double sink. We are the original owners and have extensively upgraded the trailer (list below) and repaired items when needed. It is time for a change, partially dictated by age, so we will part with our Airstream with sadness.
Some mid-2000’s trailers had serious corrosion problems, but this one has always been in a very dry climate. Slight taillight bezel and entry door hinge corrosion has been sealed. We never hit anything with it. No hail damage, no dents. There are a few scratches, but otherwise like original. No leaks detected for years with one exception (sunroof resealed).
The Special Edition features aluminum interior instead of cloth “mouse fur”, front are rear Panoramic windows and more. Check the link for all 2008 Special Edition standard features: https://www.airstream.com/wp-content...f07898fd42.pdf
We wanted more, so we did many, many upgrades and had our warranty work done at the factory service center. We replaced many original items with better quality ones. The list follows: 16” aluminum wheels used on more expensive trailers, Michelin LTX Load Range E tires (April, 2015), Equalizer 1,200 Lb. hitch (new hitch head and L brackets, 2016), Karndean “Loose Lay” vinyl plank floor in main cabin (enables owner to check subfloor for leaks), microwave cabinet in main cabin (if cabinet removed and original cushion added, sofa can be made into bed; cushion included), 200 watt solar with Heliotrope controller, Lifeline batteries, (Group 27, upgrade from OEM Group 24), main cabin cushions re-covered with high quality vinyl similar to Airstream’s “ultraleather”, replaced water pump with higher quality model (2017), new gas valve for furnace (2017), flat screen TV in bedroom, Venetian blinds for rear window, new CO and smoke detectors (2017), new shelves in pantry (2017), extra one added and some replacements included, replacement shower head with integral shut off, all interior lighting and exterior patio light replaced with LED’s (except wardrobe and underbed storage area), exterior propane lines protected with heavy duty vinyl tubing, message pushpin board installed on large wardrobe door, beltline trim installed (protects from water intrusion and corrosion), fresh water tank drain replaced with hose bib, additional magazine rack on microwave cabinet, microwave with aluminum trim, sunroof shade replaced (2017), digital TV adapter for TV antenna, many added clothes and towel hooks, self adjusting brakes installed, wheel bearings repacked with new seals (2016), 12 v. electrical system and refrigerator grounds cleaned and tightened (2017), water heater contacts cleaned (2016), subwoofer on/off switch installed (under seat), hook to hold bathroom door open, multistage Iota battery charger and converter, kitchen undersink cold water filter replaced 2017, main cabin subfloor double sealed with exterior spar polyurethane, water pump bypass installed, one Fantastic Fan converted to intake for better air circulation, wall clock, magnetic knife holder, retro spice holder, new 120 v. shore power cable (2016), interior whole trailer surge protector, HP printer with USB cable to dinette area.
All manuals. Most repair and purchase invoices when available. Leaks were stopped with aggressive sealing everywhere leaks could occur.
