2008 Airstream Safari SE 19 - California

Purchased from a dealer in Mesa, Az in 2017, we've enjoyed exploring much of the US with this fun trailer. Upcoming overseas travels brings us to this decision to sell. The trailer was in excellent condition when we took possession and we have continued that level of care. Improvements to the trailer have included bringing the electrical system and its capacity up to date for boondocking purposes and renewing the A/C and heating system options for creature comfort.

Being a Safari SE model, the trailer included wraparound front windows from the factory and stainless steel stone guards protecting the front aluminum body panels. Custom front drapes were ordered and the dealer installed a Blue Ox weight distribution hitch which is included. The hitch has been a great match with our TV, a 2015 F 150 with the 2.7 liter engine, a great combination. Airstreams 12V batteries were replaced with Trojan T 105 deep cycle batteries providing 225 Ah of capacity. All interior lights were replaced with LED's eliminating heat and reducing battery drain. The Airstream single stage charger was replaced with a Progressive Dynamics PD4655 4 stage converter/charger and integrated with the existing 100 watt Zamp panel and solar controller. Existing A/C unit was replaced with a Penguin II 1500 BTU unit including the heat pump option and a DuoTherm programmable thermostat for heat and cooling. The refrigerator was replaced on 07/19 including larger twin cooling fans to facilitate air movement over the condenser.

Prior to placing this ad, both tires were replaced, wheel bearings were packed and seals replaced. The RV service center also inspected the brakes and suspension, all good. When I brought it home, both propane tanks were topped off. In short, fill up the water tank and this Airstream is ready to hit the road Come check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Additional equipment installed or included as follows;

01/17 Install wheel safety bands.

10/17 30 Amp Surge Protector Replace bath fan and controller.

05/19 2 Trojan T 105 6V Deep Cycle batteries and cabling. Victron blue tooth battery monitor

07/19 Replace dual refrigerator, propane or shore power

05/21 Replace both Fantastic Fan open/close motors

08/21 Replace all 120 V interior receptacles, CO2 and smoke detector
