Title: 2008 Airstream Safari 16 - Pennsylvania
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
2008 17 Foot (not 16) Safari Sport. This is a relatively rare Airstream that sleeps two. My sources say only a couple hundred were built.
Great shape - we are third owners and have done a lot of work to get it in shape. We are really torn about getting rid of it but got a great deal on a 2018 Airstream - our third.
This Sport has a large bathroom with shower with shower seat. It has no permanent dinette - comes with a table that pulls out and sits in front of the front wraparound couch. Lots of storage for such a small camper. There is storage under the couch, (lots) plus a large closet to left of refrigerator.
Easy to tow - 3500 lbs fully loaded - we tow with our Honda Pilot with no issues.
Everything works - hot water heater, furnace, stove, sinks, air conditioner, radio, cd player, tv antenna, tv (tv is brand new), inverter, toilet, shower, refrigerator (both
12v and propane), water pump - also battery and kitchen faucet are brand new.
Includes the Airstream carry bag, manual, all manuals for the appliances, etc. Plus information I have gathered to help with future parts needs, etc.
This model has real plywood floor under the flooring - some Airstreams had particle board. Awning is in great shape - I just replaced the awning locks. I also installed the pump quieter kit and made it easier to get to the pump for winterizing.
Most lights are now LED - we have camped all weekend without hookups and battery lasted the whole weekend.
It is a 2008 so there are a couple small "battle scars" but nothing much. The only one that is really visible I am told can be popped out but I have not tried.
