Title: 2005 Airstream Safari 30 - Texas
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
UPDATED TO INCLUDE INTERIOR PICS BASED ON MULTIPLE REQUESTS
Hard to find bunkhouse model with two bedrooms is great for family of 4! Equivalent new model costs over $100,000.
We purchased in the fall of 2014 and updated much. It has been parked on our property and used as temporary residence while building our house. Don't want to sell but the house is complete and need the cash.
The good:
Never smoked in
Replaced carpeted walls with sheet metal, similar to new Airstream models
New premium vinyl flooring throughout looks like wood
New Sunbrella and leather upholstery
New air conditioner is more powerful than the factory standard model
Refurbished refrigerator and furnace work great
New LED light bulbs through out
New TV
New Blue tooth stereo
New electrical system
New mattresses
New deep cycle batteries (2)
New safety equipment (fire extinguisher, CO and smoke detectors, LP/gas detector)
New 30 amp shore power cord and adapters
I am selling the unit with the following:
Plates, cups, pots, pans, silverware, drying rack, knives, etc.
Sets of fuses, extra parts
Owner’s manual
Satellite radio (not hooked up)
The not so perfect:
Previous owner bought the unit on a salvage title, it had been deemed totaled by an insurance company due to cosmetic hail damage and other dings. The photos show the extent of the damage which we didn't mind. The unit itself is structurally sound so now this unit has a "rebuilt title".
No awning, but you can add if desired
My all in cost is close to $40,000 but acknowledge the imperfections noted above and am asking $34,500.
