Title: 1999 Airstream Safari 25 - Vermont
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This trailer is under contract to be purchased. Thank you all for your interest and inquiries.
This trailer has been with us for five trips to the Southwest. It is light (4920 empty), easy-to-pull, and has the hard-to-find twin bed option. It’s a perfect size to fit into state and federal campgrounds but yet roomy inside. The clearcoat was peeling so I stripped it and spent countless hours polishing it. I also ripped off the aging “mouse fur” wall covering and polished the interior metal. I ripped up the grubby carpet and laid down a wood-like floor. We had a trip planned this winter but my wife contracted cancer and recently died so I am selling the rig.
We have done a lot of work on the trailer including:
• New mattresses
• Installed a new catalytic heater – requires no electricity
• Replaced the refrigerator (2015)
• Replaced the gas stove (2015)
• Replaced bathroom fan, water pump, and tongue jack (2015)
• Changed converter to PD9200 and moved wiring for battery(s) inside (2015).
• Installed two new Lifeline 105ah batteries under couch. (2015)
• Had electrical 7- pin plug replaced with a molded plug and wiring box. (2015)
All systems work and it was inspected last October. This rig is ready to hook up and go camping tomorrow.
