1995 Airstream Classic 36 - New Hampshire

1995 Airstream Classic 360. 454 Gas. 82.4K miles. Zip Dee awnings like new. New microwave. New Norcold 3way fridge. Over 9k spent on suspension refresh. Banks Powerpack. 7k Onan generator. Rare rear escape window. All tires near new. Steer Safe system available but not installed. Alternator and fan belt new. Alcoa aluminum wheels. Glass good. Original Owner's manual, receipts, manuals, paperwork. Bought in Mesa AZ, intending to restore it. Decided to sell, due to early retirement, and moving to NH from MN. It's now in central NH. If you previously viewed online, I was in the process of retiring and moving. The sale window was small before moving. It is basically functional, but some issues should be addressed. I've not camped in it, and I'm not an authority on Airstreams. If you're looking for a turn key camping vehicle, I wouldn't suggest this one. It does need work and I'm being up front about that. The Airstream drives and most stuff works, but it is in need of restoration in various areas. I bought it because the price was right before I had work done, and planning on doing a bunch of the work myself. I put over 8.7k into it at an RV dealer/repair place before picking it up in Mesa. They did a bunch of smaller stuff that needed to be done before driving it to MN. After moving to NH, I had it flat bedded to here from MN. The outside obviously needs to be addressed. As seen in the pics, I've been experimenting with how to get the old adhesive from the vinyl stripes off, along with removal of the paint on the upper half that someone did. I assume the clear coat on the brushed aluminum finish was deteriorating, and their remedy was to just paint the top half. I've tested numerous items, and here's what I know so far. Both propane heaters work. The roof ACs work, but take a while to cool, so they probably need a recharge. I have two new control/airboxes for the ACs, but I was lied to by the vender, and they don't fit with the roof units. By the time I got to it and found they didn't fit, it was too late for return. The current boxes work, but are kind of ratty. The ACs have heat strips in them that work. The propane cooktop works. Water pump isn't coming on, but I haven't looked into it. Also, as a result of that, I am unsure of the water heater as well. The microwave is new. The fridge is new and works. Although it is a 3way, it may not be working on the propane setting. At least 3 of the ceiling fluorescent lites aren't working. The Gen will start from the control panel above microwave, but the Test, water pump, and holding tank level lites aren't working. It may be as simple as a ground. I'm unsure, but that stuff worked before i had the panel out for the microwave work. The Gen start on the dash is not working. The Gen start on the Gen itself works. I need 2 new skylight covers, as the old ones were brittle and cracked. The cover for the ceiling fan in the bath area also needs to be replaced. The furniture needs a deep cleaning, a couple very small tears in the leather, and I would have had them re dyed to freshen them up and match color wise. The couch which jack knives open, is a creamier color than the rest of the chairs . Carpet needs a good cleaning, or replacement. The wood floor in galley is acceptable. The table needs refinishing. Spot light, horn and little amber side marker lites work, the docking lites are working. Some of these issues with may be as easy as a fuse, but I haven't checked yet. As you can see, it isn't the type of thing someone would be able to buy, and expect to drive to a full camping experience. The e brake has been fixed by a mobile truck mechanic I hired. We discussed putting it on a lot to rent as airbnb, but we decided to sell it. I believe this is the only '95 Classic 360 for sale in the country. If you search 1995 Airstream Classic motorhome pictures, you'll see what they look like restored.
