1991 Airstream 350 35 - Texas

Title: 1991 Airstream 350 35 - Texas
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

1991 Airstream Classic 350LE Motorhome, Manufacture Number 11321
A genuine legacy, very original 1991 Airstream 350 LE is offered for sale in Austin, Texas with Vintage vehicle Texas number plate and clear Texas blue title. Ordered and delivered to the Airstream Dealer, Traveland Leisure Vehicles, Langley, British Columbia on March 16, 1991, the present and third owner purchased the vehicle from Poulsbo RV, Auburn Washington on December 19, 2014.
VIN number 1GBKP37N8L3321296
The original 7.4 liters, 454 cubic inch fuel injected Chevrolet engine rebuild was completed in 2016 and has since recorded 3535 miles. During the rebuild, twin electric thermostatically operated engine fans were added along with an original ACDelco clutch operated fan to improve earlier replacement of the engine cooling radiator. An oil cooling radiator was added and Doug Thorley THY-306Y stainless steel headers and a Spintech exhaust muffler fitted. The throttle body, injectors, and engine sensors were replaced with revised a Spectre/K&N air intake and an upgraded Crane 134112 camshaft fitted. An ACDelco “min-starter” replaced the heavy original unit. This is an excellent running engine, which has just completed a flawless 1800 mile tour during which the operating temperature measured a consistent 200 degrees F.
Suspension issues were addressed including a rebuilt steering box and Hyroboost brake booster. Ball joints and bushes were replaced, Bilstein shock absorbers installed along with new front disks and pads and Centramatic wheels balancers on the front axle. New rear Firestone Ride-Rite 2080 air springs were fitted as well as upgraded shock absorbers. Tag axle mounting bearings were retooled and six Samson GL283A tires were fitted in 2016 (DOT 5116)and have since traveled 3000 miles. The two tag axle tires will need to be replaced.
A new engine mounted AC compressor and related components were fitted, however, a leak persists in either the front condenser or under dash evaporator. All gauges work correctly and the self-leveling control and jacks are operational. A Kenwood KDC-BT372U radio with CD, Bluetooth, USB, and Sirius XM capability is installed.
The interior and fittings are completely original as is the rear twin berth layout. An alternative modification exists to convert the twin berths into a center queen layout. Although the carpet shows wear and needs to be replaced, all other surfaces including woodwork, slat blinds soft furnishings, bathroom, commode, shower are all in good condition. The Freighter driver’s seat has been reupholstered. The LP gas operated hot water heater and twin room heaters are working correctly as is all water and waste storage tank plumbing and valves. The original period-correct Dometic Model RM 3804 refrigerator operates on 12V, LP gas and 120V power and was rebuilt in 2018 including replacement of the control circuit board. In April 2015, both original roof-mounted air conditioning units with inside condensation drains have been upgraded to Dometic Model B59146, 15,000 BTU units. External 120V wiring has been modified so as to run both air conditioners simultaneously when on shore power. The original 30 amp power supply is in place. A secondary 20 amp supply for the rear air conditioner was added and professionally wired through the front transfer switch. The transfer switch senses if the power comes either from the onboard generator or an external 20 amp supply and switches accordingly. The external 20 amp supply can either come from a dedicated 20 amp circuit or, onshore power, from a 50 amp “dogbone” that splits into two 30 amp connections. Cooking appliances include the original Quasar microwave and convection oven, four-burner cooktop and ”NuTone” Food Center components. A 120-volt Magic Chef 4.4 Cu.Ft. fridge has replaced the factory fitted DometicDN1075 automatic ice maker installed between the two carriage seats. The original ice maker and a spare are included in the sale

The exterior condition of the coach is straight and watertight, however, the original Clear Coat finish has deteriorated around the upper areas as has some of the re-spray paintwork. Sliding window seal rubbers have deteriorated and need to be replaced. Battery box damage resulted in a box rebuild. An aluminum front panel replacement is included and should be replaced along with the correct door latches as well as an adjacent panel repair. The single curbside ZipDee awning is in good condition with some fittings replaced, however, the alloy supports need to be overhauled to be operationally functional. The original rearview camera and monitor are functional as is the remotely operated spotlight and air horns. New KwiKee electric steps were fitted in 2016.
The original Onan 6500 Genset generator has 306 hours of operation. The 12V and 120V electrical panel, fuses replaced the original Heart Interface inverter and fuse board. A Xantrex Freedom 458 converter/inverter was installed to replace the Heart Interface unit, however, to reduce complexity and to reflect mostly “on-site” use, an Inteli-Power 9200 series power converter with TCMS Charge Wizard interface has taken its place although the Xantrex unit is included in the sale. The battery box was replaced and new automotive and deep cycle coach batteries installed in 2019. Although Individual bed reading lights are operational, there remains a 12V short circuit to the rear bedroom surround lighting and radio which needs to be addressed.
Supplied with the original Service Manual and all receipts
Priced for sale in Austin, Texas without warranty, as is at $36,000
