I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
We have towed this Airstream many miles with no issues. It's a good, solid, comfortable trailer. We have the original owners manual.
The air conditioner has been replaced with a newer unit.
Replaced tires in 2013. A new set of shocks recently purchased from Airstream go with the trailer. Wheel bearings are repacked annually. The trailer brakes work well - no noise. Several upper skins which had shallow dents have been replaced with new skins. There are stainless steel rock guards and full sunglasses over the panoramic front glass. The ZipDee awning is in new condition.
The underbelly is tight. The axles are good. It is ready to use as is. We never hesitate to take it anywhere and it tows great, but does require a good-sized truck as it weighs almost 7,000 lbs. unloaded.
It has a large hallway electric baseboard heater that we use in lieu of the furnace. The ducted LP furnace is original and in working order, but we have chosen not to use it due to age.
This Airstream has a huge amount of storage and would be a good full-timers or part-timers home. It has center bath with sliding door, big shower with seat and folding shower door, high- pressure Oxygenics shower head, large medicine cabinet, and a built-in clothes hamper. The kitchen has a full four-burner range with oven. It has large kitchen cabinets, big drawer pantry, stainless double sink with newer one-piece faucet, pull out kitchen work surface and a refrigerator that is a replacement and not the original. It has the roll up spice rack. It also has the original Amana “RadarRange” with probe - which works well.
The bedroom has twin beds, a four-drawer chest of drawers, under-bed storage, and upper cabinet storage above both beds and across the back. There are 12-volt outlets in bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room for boondocking. Most of the light fixtures have been outfitted with LED bulbs. It has a large three-door, cedar lined closet.
The batteries have been moved to an outside compartment in the tongue and the (newish) converter is covered by a built-in cabinet/lamp table between two high-quality leather recliners. There is still more storage under the dinette and in a table/entertainment center in the living room. Dinette makes a bed. It has AM FM radio with surround sound throughout. Includes a working LP gas alarm and smoke alarms.
Carpet has been replaced with vinyl floor covering for easy cleaning.
