Title: 1979 Airstream Argosy Minuet 7.3m - North Carolina
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
Argosy trailers were made by Airstream starting in 1971 and are usually recognized as the "Painted Airstream".
Argosy Minuets were engineered to hold more and weight less, which allowed them to be towed by an intermediate sized vehicle.
The trailer has a hitch weight of 510 lbs., and a total weight of 3820 lbs. The trailer has dual axles, which helps give it a smooth ride, and smooth pull.
I purchased this Argosy with plans on performing a total renovation (remove/replace subflooring, make any needed framing repairs, etc) and make this into a mobile office.
I have done all the dirty work (removed pan/insulation, removed interior skins and all interior insulation, etc).
I am an insurance adjuster and due to back to back storms in the last two years, I had to purchase a 2007 airstream, ready to go, for my office and have lost the desire and time to complete the renovation of this Argosy.
I have most of the interior pieces including water tanks, shower pan, aluminum skins, etc. (see photos).
Prior to completing the tear-out I installed the following new items:
* New Axles, drums and brakes.
* New shocks.
* New Tires and Rims.
Also includes original owner's manual and Eaz-lift weight distribution and sway controls, as well as, hitch.
