Title: 1979 Airstream Excella 500 31 - California
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
Due to a change in circumstances we are selling our newly renovated Excella.
The old lady was treated to a comprehensive overhaul by a renowned Airstream shop in California to the tune of no less than $28.000 and has been in storage since.
The renovation comprised of the following and more:
- Clear Coat stripped, several aluminum panels replaced, all exterior polished
- New fresh water tank installed including replacement of all valves, lines etc.
- New Dometic RM2650 refrigerator installed (unused to date)
- New Oven/Cooktop
- Subfloor replaced
- New converter and lots of electrical work
- New countertops for kitchen and bathroom
- New tires incl. spare
- New Dexter Torsion axles and electric brakes
- New shocks and brackets
- New Water pump
- New tow harness etc.
- New window screens
- New Alu LP tanks (2)
- New Deep Cycle Marine Batteries (2)
- New Zip Dee Awning
- New
12V Electric Tongue Jack
- New NT30SP 30K BTU Furnace
- New FAN Tastic 1250 Fan
- A veritable ton of little things like vent covers, ac covers, cabling, tail lights etc. etc
She tows and brakes like a dream.
Interior is largely original but "refreshed" with a coat of paint, new mattresses etc.
She comes with all new nescessary accessories like bedding, curtains, full set of kitchen appliances/cutlery/plates etc etc.
Dinnette is removed and replaced with a futon, and cafe style table instead.
All in all this is a steal as we are only asking the price of the renovation.
Very clean classic with an air of new camper without the cost.
