1977 Airstream Argosy 26 - Michigan

1977 Airstream Argosy 26. Originally purchased as a project but have been using as is the past 5 years and is very functional. Some improvements have been done inside and out, but most original elements remain intact, including the 8 track player. I have not used the water heater, furnace, or gas mode on the fridge due to CO2 concerns, but previous owner claimed they work. The refrigerator works great on electric with shore power. Stove top works but have never tried the oven. Water system works with either city supply or with the tank/pump. Original awning in good shape.

Floorplan: Rear bath, front couch/table. Mid bedroom with two twin beds.

Interior Improvements: Reupholstered couch; New front curtains and roll up blinds on all other windows; Newer memory foam mattresses; New window/vent screens; New toilet; New fuse box; New door seal; Ceiling lights replaced with LED's; Newer smoke and CO2 detectors; Laminate flooring installed by prior owner.

Exterior Improvements: New tires in 2017 are still trustworthy for local trips, but I will install new ones for a buyer. Bearings repacked and brakes inspected in 2019; New tongue jack; New running lights; New 7 pin connector; New LP regulator and pigtails, have been using new 20 lb. tanks, but will include original 30 lb. Airstream tanks. Original tanks will require new valves. Replaced plexiglass in front window protectors, very important to have these to avoid damage to the front windows while towing.

I've been towing with a half ton pickup truck and will include the load leveling hitch that makes towing this trailer a breeze. We've loved using this camper and it gets quite a bit of attention at campgrounds. Unfortunately, our family is outgrowing it and it's time to look for something bigger.
