model almost all original parts. Located in Rock Hill, SC right outside Charlotte.
Purchased in 2013, was lived in for about 3 years while managing a campground and has been stored at outdoor facility for 4 more years.
Her name is Spirit, and she is ready for a restore! If not a complete restore for someone wanting to do that, definitely a good cleaning and a few fixes before you'd want to camp in it.
Has a small dent and another on front of shell, but both are cosmetic only. Both of these can be easily pushed out by removing front panel. She does not leak a drop. She still has her original red, white, and blue, Bicentennial functioning awning. It's getting a bit worn now but could be repair easily.
Body is strong and sound. Dual rear axles in great condition and frame in perfect shape. Tows well and easily. Tires are quite possibly original so they will need to be replaced before transport. All original appliances work, sink, shower function perfectly. Original functional antenna up and down works, although, just a conversation piece as it's not digital.
Here are the we have found that need some help:
First and foremost, she will need to be cleaned.
Beds are a bit rough to get open and closed. They function, but it's kind of a pain.
Furnace functions but no longer heats up. We didn't need it in SC.
There is no AC but comes with a new window type unit for the back window, which will chill you to the bone hubby had it set up nicely with the back window propped up and made a custom piece around it and to hold it in . This custom idea did not affect the still functional back window and it can be kept/used or not. Up to you.
Toilet was not used recently. Hubby says it probably just needs a rebuild kit.
Both tank access pans on underside are pretty rusty and will probably need a change out.
Exterior currently, as you can see, has a light paint coating on it, which will need to be buffed out to make her gleam again. They did not use a clear coat this far back and we were told the paint was a protectant done to avoid oxidation by original owners.
We are second owners and have all sale paperwork, including title. Also, we got all 1976 sale paperwork when we purchased it. The owners kept it perfectly maintained and there is paperwork showing that.
We put in new LED lighting upgrades inside with new white light covers they were getting rather yellowish over time .
Never installed, but it comes with new exterior LED pucks as well for the new owner.
We added a tinted windshield cover pictured in 2nd pic . It's almost brand new and is valued at least a grand itself.
We also put in a new "on demand" hot water heater, which is amazing and offers plenty of hot water. The original tiny water heater two gallon is still there, too.
Finally, a new back awning.
Don't be afraid to make an offer, but please don't be insulting. Remember that she is in high demand and an antique. We'd like to stay in the ballpark of the listing.
