Sovereign International 31, totally restored and remodeled in 2015, based on a 1976 frame and shell. Frame off restoration of Airstream with numerous upgrades and conveniences. This is not your average Airstream remodel, this is a top of the line, no corners cut, quality renovation. Everything new inside and no expense was spared on this build. Professional restoration and custom build by Capital City Customs, Inc. of Raleigh, North Carolina.
From the first time you open the door, you see the quality and thought that went into this Airstream remodel. Unique to this 31’ Airstream is the front galley/kitchen. The U-shape of the construction allows all the appliances to be within easy reach and the amount of counter space is tremendous. A stainless steel Marine Grade 2 drawer refrigerator/freezer that runs on
12V and 120V. A large stainless steel sink, 2 burner propane cooktop and a convection/microwave oven provide all the standards of home.
The built in dinette is under an enlarged window on the curbside, the tabletop drops to provide and enlarged seating area. The street side sofa and dinette are both covered in Black Ultra-Leather. An extra set of street side windows provide an abundance if natural light in the Airstream. The LED TV is on a power-lift at the end of the sofa.
Further aft, There is a built in closet, curbside, across from the bathroom. The large stainless steel shower enclosure has a tempered glass door. The toilet has a macerating pump to dispose of waste into the black tank.
The rear queen bed contains under-bed storage and access to power reels for 50A electrical cord, fresh water hose reel and Sani-Con macerating discharge pump hose reel. All cabinets and bed framing done with aluminum to provide strong construction and reduced weight. Large bedside tables with a drawer and storage underneath allow access around the bed. A built in drawer unit provides for clothes storage. Alder wood used for interior wood panels and cabinets, oak tongue and grove flooring over 3/4” marine grade plywood with epoxy coating and insulation.
600 Watts of solar panels mounted on the roof and 300aH batteries allow for extended boondocking opportunities. Electronic monitors are located right inside the door for easy access.
