Title: 1976 Airstream Argosy 28 - Louisiana
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
For sale is a vintage 1976 Airstream Argosy. Airstream used the Argosy line as a basic model trailer to test new concepts (like the beautiful wrap-around windows on both ends), but instead of the classic "shiny silver" Airstream trailer, the Argosy line was painted, hence the vintage cream exterior. My wife and I have spent the last 6 months living in/refurbishing the interior of this trailer, but we've decided it's time to move on to something new. Now it's your turn to benefit off our hard work and jump on a great deal. We converted the back bedroom from two built-in twin beds to a queen bed with storage space underneath as well as built in shelves on two sides of the bed. We took out a few walls to open up the space and removed the built in wardrobe, replacing it with a bookshelf as well as a large storage shelf with room to hang clothes underneath. We also replaced the flooring with oak laminate. We painted the entire interior white as well as the cabi
nets, which really enhances the natural lighting throughout. In addition, we removed a portion of the kitchen cabinet to fit a 10.2 cu ft. fridge, which is included in the sale. We also removed the built in couch and kitchen table and added a custom-built frame to support a nicer, homier couch as well as a custom built kitchen table. Unfortunately, we have not made it to the bathroom yet, so no waterproof shower walls or bathroom flooring, but the toilet works. We also have not finished some interior walls (removing the old painted burlap and replacing with another material).
