Title: 1975 Airstream Argosy 26 - Virginia
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This is a work-in-progress project trailer. I would like to find a buyer who already loves and appreciates the Argosy. This could be your project (or my parts donor if not sold).
I recently purchased a 30’ 1979 Argosy and I plan to use this 26’ as a donor for spare parts. However, I would much prefer to get it in the hands of someone interested in taking on the renovation. I purchased it in 2011. In 2011 it was serviced by Airstream at Jackson Center to get it road worthy (tires, water pump, 2x7gal tanks, new 7-wire and Hensley installed).
There is a dent in the right front curb corner - I’ll throw in a custom made “dent roller” though to assist you :). I currently have the belly pan down and beginning to“refresh” the interior (water tank removed and front guacho disassembled). There are several small floor areas that need to be patched (front at water inlet & near the door) and generally the interior is in need of a new millennium makeover. I long ago disposed of the original upholstery but kept the foam cushions. The street side front & rear windows need to be replaced (the rear is being used as a donor on the 30’). The original appliances are all still installed and are sold as is but are believed to be working. I no longer have the green vinyl chairs depicted in the photos.
Included in the pricing are new 2x2800# axles/brakes (uninstalled), and a Hensley hitch (installed) . You will need to order a Hensley drop bar for your vehicle.
