Our 25 foot 1974 Airstream Land Yacht is ready for a new home. This Airstream is the perfect size and has so much vintage charm. We began the restoration process, but life and kids are taking up our precious time, so we'd like to see someone else finish up this beauty. We originally purchased it for $11k, put in about $4k plus tons of labor. Listing for $14k which we think is more than reasonable. Currently there are no Airstreams in the Pacific Northwest at this price point, the ones available are either cheap (because they have damage or are gutted), or they are $30k+ because they are renovated. Here is a summary of the trailer's condition and the work that's been done:
Layout:
- Twin beds in the middle with storage
- Bath in the rear with closet and shower
- Kitchen in the middle
- Dinette or bed area in front
Improvements made over the last year:
- Roof has been recently fully re-sealed (with the right types of caulk!)
- Brand new Dometic air conditioner with electric heat coils
- Brand new low profile toilet
- Brand new battery
- Brand new converter
- New LED bulbs
- New "wood look" vinyl flooring (just needs trim)
- New memory foam mattresses with protectors
- Newer fridge
- Newer water heater
- Axles re-packed in the last couple years
- Full polish done in the last 10 years
Overall condition:
- No body damage!
- Solid floor
- Most finishings are original
- Lived most of its life in Arizona/New Mexico before coming to Washington
- Needs awning
- Windows are functional and have screens
Parts we have and will throw in for free:
- Loads of caulking, enough to re-do the door and windows
- Weather stripping for all the windows
- Insect guards that go over the window handles
- Plumbing supplies to re-do plumbing
