Title: 1974 Airstream Tradewind 25 - District of Columbia
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
I'm selling my 25' 1974 Airstream Tradewind and hoping to find this beauty the perfect home. Everything that didn't work when I bought her does work now. In fact, everything works period.
Sleeps four comfortably on two couches that slide on tracks into beds. The dining/work table folds away on tracks that work and creates a large space to eat, work, or hang out around. In the back is a fullsize, standup shower, sink, and flushing toilet all working. The galley features a sink, 4-burner propane powered stove, and oven all working. All the cabin lights work.
Since I've bought her, I have done about 8,000 miles of driving around the US and loved having the Airstream to meet people and stay comfortably while on the road. This baby is in great shape and I get waves, questions, and photos everywhere I go. She's a rolling time capsule that everyone wants to see and learn about.
I have done the following things with her all at professional RV repair centers:
New water pump
New rooftop AC unit
New thermostat
Propane tanks recertified
New propane hardware, hoses, and regulators (kept classic, original tanks)
New electrical converter, charger (retrofitted into original Univolt unit - classic Airstream component)
Bearings repacked and relubed
4 new tires
new spare tire and rim in case of flat
new mini fridge
Replaced a number or exterior lights
Installed LED Smart TV
New awning for large side awning
This RV has been brought up to the status of fully functional while keeping the original charm of the design. This means that many of the rolling MDF cupboard covers and such are cracking or cracked off. Previous owner removed the broken fridge and since they're a fortune to replace, I just used a cooler. I'd say the interior condition is still very good, but it's not perfect because it's not been totally modernized to look nothing like an Airstream. Everything that has been done with this RV has been maintaining its vintage beauty.
Heater works
Stove/oven works
Electrical AC/DC systems work
Interior and exterior lights work
Water pump for sinks, showers, toilet work
Trailer brakes work
Happy to answer questions or show you the unit. I'd love to find this gorgeous lady a new home and someone to show her some more of the world.
