Title: 1971 Airstream
Sovereign 31 - Georgia
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This airstream is 31 Ft, originally purchased from a farm in South Dakota where it had sat for the majority of its life. I have been refurbishing this Airstream while living in it for the past 8 months. Here is the list of modifications that have been completed and some that have been started but are not quite finished.
Dexter Torsion Axels (Starting Angle 32 Degree's. 2300 miles put on the new axles)
Progressive Dynamics 45 Amp Converter
All new Pex Plumbing
Water heater (10 Gal Atwood Elect and Propane)
Dometic Refrigerator
Original Thetford plumbing in Rear end/ Black tank replaced with Valterra
Original flooring under bathroom had rear end separation, Sub floor replaced with 12 ply Marine plywood
All windows and gaskets replaced to include sealing rivets on roof (no leaks (trust me it had plenty))
Counter top replaced with new laminate (edging not completed)
New LP gas regulator and lines (only one tank polished)
12v Water pump replaced
Sealand Toilet
Chrome City Water intake
Fusion 30amp Electric inlet
Oak clip in Laminate Flooring and White tile laminate in bathroom
I have put in roughly 300 hours polishing the exterior with Jesco gray and pink bars
Here are a few negatives and a couple issues I never finished.
There is a soft spot under the sink from a previous leak that has been plugged, the soft spot has been covered with wood hardener and has no structural significance.
The shower drain leaks, and my plumbing skills are terrible, I have all necessary parts in my possession I just gave up and used the campground facility.
The Roof has not been polished and there is minor polishing that needs to be done around the exterior to include some blue paint or vinyl whichever you prefer.
I have the Awning arms, just no cross beam, the original owner forgot to tell me it was in the barn.
The Tambour on a few of the drawers has ripped (why they would use paper backing on that expensive stuff is completely stupid)
The white paint on the inside looks great in the pictures, but I am no painter, I have completed painting roughly 80% of the inside.
exterior running lights need to be replaced (have the parts)
I would like to get $13,250 OBO I have a significant amount of time invested in this Airstream. I don't think you will find one in this condition for this price. I am quick to respond to emails, and if you see this ad still up that means its still available, I won't respond to emails like "is this still available". Just shoot me a line with your name and questions (other than "is this still available") you have regarding this Airstream. Title is clean.
