1971 Airstream Overlander 27 - Oregon

Title: 1971 Airstream Overlander 27 - Oregon
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

I'm selling my off grid 1971 Airstream 27’ Overlander ready to move in. renovated and modernized, it was fully gutted and converted with new …. pretty much everything. Lived and maintained in the Airstream on and off for two years driving from national forest to national forest.

Spacious open layout with both a micro “cub” Mini Wood Stove and gas furnace. Made for someone 6”1’ and also engineered for someone 5”10’. Full solar electricity system with 500 watts solar panel into long life battery and 1500w inverter. High-efficiency low draw electric fridge that runs 24/7 off solar. Propane burner. New instant water heater installed. The option of a 5 Gallon removable water canister for easy access under the sink or can route to the water tank underneath the floor. Air conditioning works and kept the Airstream cool at Burning Man last year. The Airstream is also designed to run off of regular plug in shore power as well if you prefer. A toilet is switched to a composting toilet with urine catch separator to grey water tank to keep compost dry with negative pressure fan. If you so desire a black water toilet, you can reinstall a new one relatively easily as the waste hole is capped and glued but easily removable. Top of the line new bias 8 ply tires installed 2 years ago. Wheel bearings repacked recently and showed little sign of wear when they opened it. Motorized jack still works. Front rock guard replaced, airstream logos and blue line repainted. Every seam was resealed with Vulkem, the industry standard for polyurethane sealant to make sure she doesn’t leak.

Was able to live, cook, and explore in ease.

either seasoned or a first timer, its a labor of love and created to live environmentally conscious while still living an easy and comfortable life. Its not perfect as not a single contractor was involved in the creation of this art piece. You will find it a delight with handmade countertops and retro cabinet space designed to match modern design.

Only selling due to a separation, would love this to go to someone that will appreciate it for its uniqueness. But will also take any buyer :)
