Title: 1970 Airstream Safari NULL - Colorado
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
Sought after 23’ Safari that has remained in one family for 3 generations. My grandparents purchased the trailer new in 1970. I grew up traveling in this trailer with my grandparents and parents. Now my kids have experienced many long trips and weekend getaways living in Colorado. We have outgrown this trailer and time to let another family experience vintage travel and camping. Everywhere we go we always get thumbs up and curious people at the campsite asking all sorts of questions.
The interior has been professionally designed and renovated with modern convenience and looks with the vintage trim and accessories intact. Custom extended Corian counter tops in the kitchen and rear sink. Water heater, electrical, and plumbing have either been upgraded or replaced. The front room features a custom couch with chaise lounge that turns into a queen and storage underneath. Foldable table that tucks under the countertop for travel.
The kitchen is equipped with a modern Norcold full size refrigerator. Original stove top and oven remain in excellent working order. The bathroom features upgraded plumbing throughout. Toilet and shower basin have been replaced. The rear couch is original and pulls out into another queen size bed that also has storage under.
I began stripping the original clear coat on the exterior and realized it is more work than I thought. The exterior is in great shape but will need some love buffing out to get that Airstream shine.
