1968 STREAMLINE PRINCESS--Compact, Well Preserved, and READY TO CAMP

Title:
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

435-210-024O

Perfect size for comfortable weekend getaways and has all the amenities for long term camping! At 21' total length (about the length of a full size pickup) and 3500 pounds, this classic is simple and easy to maneuver into tight spots.

This trailer has spent its time in the dry desert Southwest and has received a 'freshening' and 'update' of the mechanical systems. A restoration was not necessary due to the well preserved exterior skin, solid plywood floor, and original interior cabinets.

Set up for FOUR SEASON winter camping!

Exterior is properly sealed and does not leak. All plastic exterior fixtures have been upgraded to aluminum/stainless steel. Aluminum skin is factory anodized and requires no maintenance. Good tires, suspension, and functional electric brakes.

Interior has original aluminum (unique to Streamline) and wood cabinets in excellent shape! Cabinet doors latch and unlatch smoothly, just like new. Original wood paneling is in presentable shape, but shows some wear from 50 years of use. Plywood subfloor is solid (even in the cabinets) and is covered in new flooring. Dinette converts into a comfortable bed. Interior is exceptionally clean down to the nooks and crannies!

Plumbing has been updated to modern standards with a new freshwater tank, Atwood 6-gallon water heater, on-demand pump, pex pipe, and all brass fittings. Everything plumbing related is located within the heated confines of the interior, and I have had zero issues camping down to 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

Electric has modern fuse panel, power converter, battery, and Marine Grade Stainless Steel Fixtures. All wiring has been done to marine standards for reliability, and finished off with Stainless Steel Marine Fixtures.

Bathroom has a large shower and the toilet has been upgraded to a Natures Head Composting Toilet. If you are skeptical on these, you are welcome to come check it out (it is in use) and enjoy the lack of odor. The original bathroom door was absent, so I constructed a beautiful oak replacement.

Furnace is modern Atwood 25k BTU unit. Combined with the thick insulated walls and floor, the furnace had no trouble keeping the interior at 65 degrees on those cold 10 degree nights.

Kitchen retains the ORIGINAL (reconditioned) Dometic refrigerator, and works well on both propane and shore power. There is always ice on those hot summer days. The range and hood fan have been upgraded to modern units.

Airstream, Avion, Silver Streak, Bambi, Caravel, Safari, Prince, Duchess
