1968 Airstream Overlander 26 - Colorado
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
1968 Overlander 26′ mostly restored the Overlander 26D has a Double bed/ couch plus front couch that converts into another double bed. This has served us as a great guest house for years and we just purchased another Airstream. This restoration is 80% complete focused on the interior, which restoring the mahogany throughout with added mahogany on walls and maple on floors and ceilings. All gas and electrical items revamped which includes kitchen with new under mount sink, new two burner stove, newer propane/ elec. fridge, and original functional oven. Roomy bathroom with shower/tub combo.
Colorado titled trailer with following upgrades in past 3 years:
- New cushions and upholstery
- Installed new maple flooring throughout (Sub floor replaced in several areas - frame has surface rust, however solid condition)
- Refinished and reinforced mahogany cabinetry throughout.
- New LED ceiling fixtures.
- Professional tint on windows all windows in good condition.
- Two new 40 lb propane tanks (have original 25 lb)
- New 40,000 BTU furnace (Interior stays comfy 70 degrees in -10 degrees Colorado weather!)
- New Inverter/ converter and new deep cycle battery.
- Full exterior aluminum polish done in 2011. (now needs a few hours to remove Elm tree residue) (exterior in good condition for age, yet has several light scratches and several dents in belly pan)
- New wheels and tires with less than 100 miles
- Have numerous additional parts to complete (clear vent caps, new kitchen ext hood, new LED marker lights for exterior, new window cranks… and on)
- Have All original paper work and Manuals, as well as all new equipment information
- STILL NEEDS - original plumbing to be completed and serviced as necessary since no water has been used during our ownership.
