1967 Airstream Safari 22 - Washington

Title: 1967 Airstream Safari 22 - Washington
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

Up for sale is Wally, our 1967 Airstream Safari Land Yacht. We are believed to be the 3rd owners, and having owned it for almost 5 years we have finally grown out of it. We have loved this single axle beauty, it super-easy to tow and turns lots of heads! The interior is mostly original, including the fully functional gas stove. The aluminum skin is original and unpolished with no damage, with sections still having the original clearcoat. There have been considerable improvements/repairs made over the years, with the following being the major ones:
New windows, including the special curved windows only found on '66-'68 Airstreams, new PEX plumbing, new potable water tank, new black tank, new toilet, new Dometic refrigerator, new front window Lexan rock guard, new Dexter torsion axle with 12" brakes, and new tires.
Functional issues: needs battery replaced for dry camping (electrical still works on shore power or generator). There is NO furnace, as the previous owner removed it, so cold weather camping requires electricity to run a heater.
Cosmetic issues: We removed the ORIGINAL asbestos floor tile (yuck), but the replacement flooring is an inexpensive placeholder (gaps grow and shrink with temperature) until somebody decides to invest in a nice permanent floor. The outside skin had a cheaply painted black stripe that caused a rainbow sheen below it from rainwater. We removed the stripe only to find that there was originally an orange stripe underneath that had been removed in a way that had caused scratches in the skin. The exterior looks better with the "scratch stripe" than it did with the black stripe, but it is still there nonetheless.

We wouldn’t be selling if not for starting a new business and needing capital. Check out #cupcakeairstream on Instagram for lots of gorgeous pictures and memories! Text me your number and I can send pics as well.
You can contact us by filling in the form on the right hand column of the ad listing:
