Vintage
1967 Airstream Overlander 26 foot.
Almost (approx 90%) completely remodeled.
We began updating and remodeling the trailer 10 years ago starting with the original cabinets which we removed, sanded, stained,then re-installed with new all-wood door fronts, latches, hinges, and trim.
Replaced with New:
Wheels, tires, chrome ½ moon hub caps, axles, shocks, jack
Exterior light lenses, front window rock guard
Two propane tanks, regulators, and valves
Two deep cycle 6 volt marine batteries with battery box
Power center, converter, and interior light fixtures
Interior walls painted
Modern ceramic bathroom sink with brushed nickel faucet Shower surround and curtains with brushed nickel shower head
Stainless steel kitchen sink and faucet, formica countertops
Water heater, water pump, water tank, and pex piping
Custom wood bathroom door
Composting toilet (can easily be replaced with conventional toilet if desired)
All-wood cabinet door fronts, upgraded hinges, hardware, and trim
Custom bed box with storage beneath, larger double bed mattress, decorative leather head board
Custom dinette and table top with wrap-around seating and storage
Custom metal artwork – aluminum kitchen backsplash and galley storage over dinette, aluminum trim
Roof vent covers, astrodome, front window rock guard
New screens, all new windows(except 1 original still in great condition),window and door gaskets, aluminum shades and custom curtains.
Aluminum ducting for heating system has been installed, will need to install a heater (old heater didn't work and was removed but not replaced yet, we've been using a space heater)
Dometic 2-way refrigerator with freezer
Microwave-convection oven
Laminate wood-look flooring
New led lighting throughout (with exception of ceiling fixture over dinette, it's new but needs aftermarket led bulb)
We have spent $12,000 in upgrades and remodeling (not counting time) and have all receipts
What's left to finish to be done
We started polishing the exterior but didn't finish
There are scratches from original owner on lower exterior panels
We kept the original range because its nice and big and works well, also the original vent fans both work well.
Venting for composting toilet included but needs to be installed if you decide to keep it.
Fridge panel (we planned to do the same design work as the backsplash but never got to it)
Bathroom has some minor finish work to be done, all the hard work is complete.
Install new heater, the original furnace was irreparable, we have been using a small space heater.
Living room/dinette reading lights have not been installed but will be included.
Original trim board above bathroom door needs to be refinished and installed
Need to install counter edge trim over fridge/micro oven
Need to install trim panel on kitchen cabinet end
Exterior door light we have some but no all parts to be installed
