1965 Airstream Safari 22 - Massachusetts

Title: 1965 Airstream Safari 22 - Massachusetts
We just listed our 1965 Airstream Safari for Sale on Airstream Classifieds.

Year: 1965 Make: Airstream Model: Safari Length: 22'

hi.

i've been gutted to realize i won't be able to do the whole airstream dream. that and i've been gutting the safari i bought a year and a half ago and health problems and being on my own have kept me from getting it apart and to the shop for sandblasting, frame repair, etc.

as i was trying to make this a completely eco/mcs friendly airstream, everything is out, i had just got to the point that i was going to take out the windows and skins but realized,

hey,

this isn't going to tow well if i take it apart more. and then i sniffled a bit and bashed around my house all grumpy. but its what has to be.

so i'm offering this one up. i paid $1500 for it for reasons inexplicable to me, but i did. there was no bill of sale or title, and i'd planned to register it in massachusetts as a custom and buy a new title. it came mostly gutted and the 6 of eight windows were already bashed in.

i had grand plans.

(isn't that the way)

so i know i'm not going to get my money back, and that's ok. if you've been looking for a project to build from the ground up, i have the trailer in my backyard and i don't want it to just become a birds nest with a rotted frame. she really is a dream, they really all are

UPDATE: ok that was my sob story. details would be that there is no belly pan at all (it just fell out) so i question the integrity of the rivets holding the frame to the shell. I would advise using a flatbed to travel, but that's up to you. again, there is no title and i will take more photos asap. my plans had been to do a shell off total start- from-scratch remodel. the windows on this model are NOT the corning models, so i was going to be able to do the windows myself. this would be a good candidate for doing a food truck/shop as it is already gutted.

here is the link with photos on craigslist.

thanks for already inquiring, i hope she goes to a good home
