I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
1963 Airstream Flying Cloud ready to be custom built into a food truck, food trailer, camper, mobile boutique or anything else you could imagine. I started this project 5 or so years ago and this baby has been stored in a warehouse ever since. So far, the work that has been completed as follows:
1. Interior skin & old insulation removed, saved for re-install
2. Existing floor removed
3. Frame custom welded and reinforced
4. All roof vents custom welded and reinforced
5. Ready for new skylight & (2) fantastic fans
6. New custom fabricated vent hood 8' L x 30" W x 24" H
7. All 430 Stainless Steel, 18 Gauge, #3 Polish
8. Additional steel framing members to support the custom vent hood
9. Additional steel framing members to support air conditioning unit
10. Custom rear steel bumper fabricated & installed
11. Custom steel chassis reinforcement (entire frame), corners & entrance door
12. New subfloor cut and installed
13. Rebuilt axle, hubs and wheels
14. New suspension shock upgrade
15. New 7-way plug for towing
16. New wiring for running lights installed
17. New running lights have been installed, tested & removed
18. New tires
19. New 50 amp electrical, breaker panel, wiring, RV plug, 3-prong outlets installed
20. 40 plus hours of exterior polishing on aluminum skin
21. New tongue jack installed
22. Original parts, pieces, etc. have been removed and saved for reinstall or replacement
23. Original Airstream logos, badges, etc. included
