Title:
1960 Airstream Overlander 26 - Minnesota
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
1960 26-foot Airstream Overlander for use or restoration. It has been sitting stationary for many years, used as a guesthouse.
This unit is a diamond in the rough with some body damage; namely, a repairable non-leaking crease in the aluminum skin on the left rear corner. The large ceiling skylight is a non-opening replacement. The entry step is loose on its mounting. Original carpet is poor and needs replacing. The skin was scrubbed clean last year but is dirty again. Everything else looks pretty good.
The best part is that most of the furnishings and appliances appear to be original Airstream factory installs.
The two rear beds have 32x72, foam mattresses with original Airstream ID tags.
The holding tank, (combo black/gray water) appears to be original, the visible piping appears to be ok and the dump valve opens and closes easily.
Has an electric pump to provide pressure for the fresh water supply.
The trailer has dual electric (12volt/120 volt) to most of the lights.
Propane light over the refrigerator appears to be factory installed.
Roof vent nearest to the cook stove has a power fan.
There is a
12 volt ‘porch’/entry light over the door.
There are wall mount 120-volt outlets throughout the trailer.
TV antenna rotator mounted alongside the front window.
Tires are 700-16, 6 ply, older but very low mileage; parked on dry planks and protected.
The builders plate shows Jackson Center, Ohio.
Included are several apparently original factory installed or supplied parts.
Two cast aluminum jacking plates marked Airstream, Jackson Center, Ohio.
A swivel wheel for the trailer tongue jack.
OEM removable side awning and matching support poles.
OEM removable table with exterior body mounts.
A complete equalizer hitch assembly.
