Overview Prior to our purchasing the trailer in 2006, our girl had only 3 previous owners. The original owner bought her new in 1970, and only kept her for about 18 months. The next owner kept her for more than 30 years, taking great care of her. She was sold to her third owner in 2005 who turned around and sold her to us a year later.
Exterior
1970 Airstream Land Yacht Safari Exterior
Original Carefree awning, but new awning fabric in 2009.
Removed analog antennae
Repainted rear bumper with POR-15 and a coat of aluminum Rustoleum
Repainted all pinstriping and badging
Interior
1970 Airstream Land Yacht Safari Interior
Completed:
Threw away old curtains and replaced with new ones
Removed electric blue carpet and installed laminate floors
Built and installed new tambour doors in the overhead bins
Refreshed cabinet finish

In Progress:
Removed original bathroom wallpaper... plan to replace the wall finish
Systems and Running Gear
New fridge in 2007.
New furnace, water heater, and plumbing in 2008.
Replaced all the door and window gaskets in 2009/2010.
