First time AS owners!

My oh my! I am SO happy to have found the Friends of Dorothy group! My partner and I traded our beloved T@b in for our 2013, 16' Bambi AS.

We live in the Seattle area. Any others out there?

Fun times,
Karen

Congrats! We saw a newer 16' Serenity at the Air Midwest rally and it was soooo cool! We're not anywhere near you (Kansas) but I'm sure there are some other FODs near you. Post some pictures, we love pictures!

We live just north of you... Welcome to the Airstream world. We have had our silver trailer for just over a year now and have had it out camping about ten times!

Have you been out in it yet? There are lots of great places to camp around the area.

Enjoy!!

Welcome! I'm just North of the border from you. If you need any info for the Vancouver area, just give a shout.

Thank you everyone! Yes, Kristi and I have been out camping. We went out the same day we got it, to our favorite close to home spot, Port Townsend. We stayed at Fort Warden for 3 days. It was so fun, we almost didn't come out of the trailer.
Our 2nd trip? This Friday back to the same spot, but this time, a full hook up spot on the beach.
Our two dogs, Kali (Dobi/boarder collie mix) and Bindi (dobi), love the camper. They loved the T@b better because they got to cuddle up. Now, nope, you girls get your own bed Kali did try to sneak up, and I kissed and said, your bed is over there sister.

We do have another couple who have an AS, who would probably be interested in a FOD rally, that would be fun.

Glad to see we have FOD close by. And Vancouver? We will be in touch, because we want to make a trip up next summer.

Take care friends!
Karen & Kristi

Our newest baby

We were so excited, we really didn't take any pictures. But that will change this weekend.
And yes, that is a boot on our AS. Owning a T@b, we are well aware that folks could just walk up and take your baby.

Congrats on your new AS! We are new owners and love hanging out inside of ours too. As a matter of fact, we had friends over for dinner this past weekend, and we ended up hanging out inside the camper the entire time. Dinner and entertainment in the AS—didn't even have to clean the house

Look forward to seeing more camping pics from WA.

I think there's more to do in San Diego. It will be cooler though.

Congrats! We're new, first time, owners too. Why not do both San Diego and PS? For a suggestion, go to Anza Borrego State Park 1 1/2 hours S of Palm Springs. Borrego is a terrific place to camp and hike. Make reservations early. Then go over the mountain to San Diego, only a couple hours away and try Chula Vista RV Resort, a first class place right on the bay. Have fun

Congrats Girls!!

We're new-ish as well, having just bought our '79 back in March '12. We've made several trips from New Orleans to Colorado, Texas & next month we're embarking on a month long journey to Washington DC, to be legally married on our 7th anniversary (01/15/13). Hope to cross paths w/y'all someday!!

Love your Dobies!!!! They are such amazing dogs, I lost my beautiful red Dobie 2 1/2 years ago. He loved going camping.

I'm now sharing my camping trips with a goofy pit mix (pic attached) this is him relaxing on the bed in my 22 ft. CCD.

Good luck with the new unit!!!

James
