I hope the weather is good for the meet and greet for Mardi Gras. We had a great time when we went 4 years ago. The chapter had 2 Margarita makers going 24X7. Might need to borrow one for June!

We are new to these Rallies, but not new to being a proud Southerner. We'd like to know what we should bring &/or are expected to bring to the Rally. Is there a pot luck dinner? Perhaps we could whip up a "Nawlins" Gift basket to be used as one of the door prizes you mentioned earlier. Just let us know.

We will have a potluck and will post an rally schedule when we get closer to June as for a door prize, that would be great! We're not going to draw for all of the prizes this year, instead will make up gift bags for everyone with the gifts and hold a raffle for some of the larger gifts. Thanks so much for offering! I can't wait to see what you make up!

Well, after organizing the Annual Food for Friends' fund raiser @ The Bourbon Pub, the last 20yrs, we've developed a nifty lil system. And we're really looking forward to starting our new "Retired" lifestyle. May 15 is our "roll out of town" date. But you can read all about that under the "Full timers" thread. Look forward to meeting everyone. Let us know what else we can do to contribute.

My Husband is an AWESOME cook. He's just trying to master the task of creating great things in the tiny kitchen of The Tumbleweed (our AS). We had just wrapped up a major kitchen reno @ our home, which included a 15 foot island, when we made the decision to sell EVERYTHING & become Full Timers.
