Ok, Cowboy Dave & I just suffered thru some heavy rains ALL DAY yesterday @ Millwood Landing, over near Ashdown, Ark. Hopefully that'll make for good weather Karma @ Catherine's Landing in Hot Springs next weekend.

Qpf
The 4-5 day and 6-7 day forecast show good accumulation.....
However, any weather models over 48 hours is just a good guess. The system moving across the area may move further north depending on the 500 mb winds. We will still most likely get convective rains typical in the summer months though.
Here's hoping for good WX!

Smoken!
Well, the ribs were covered with dry rub and put in the smoker this morning at 0900. They were pulled out every hour and mopped with a mix of grenadine and agave. This afternoon at 3 pm we pulled them out and mopped with butter, individually wrap each rack in foil and stuck them back in so they would finish steaming in the butter. Then pulled them out, mopped 12 of the 18 racks with sauce, ditched the foil, and put them back under smoke...MMMM.... pulled them back out wrapped them, let them cool and put them in the freezer. Were they will sit and meld in that wonderful effervescence called rub and sauce.....until they are reheated with a touch of apple juice on Thursday.
I can not wait!!!

I didn't do a lot of research on the area since we knew that we wouldn't be able to come to the rally, but I wish we could go to the Amusement park and the zip line with the kids!

You're ready...? Yesterday we unloaded, picked out a few essentials & reloaded the truck, packing up almost everything we don't think we'll need/use during our last few days @ this RV park. We're just a few steps away from "ready to roll" and it's only a couple hour drive to Hot Springs from here!!

We've made the executive decision to leave tomorrow a.m.
That will put us in Hot Springs tomorrow evening.

I just pulled up the Catherine's Landing website. My, that really looks like a posh resort! I'm certain we won't have the shiniest AS there, but the ole' Tumbleweed has come a long way in the 14 months we've owned it. Does anyone know where we can throw some soap on it? RV washing isn't allowed in the Resort we're currently residing in.

There's a service in Hot Springs that will come and wash it at your campsite. RV washing isn't allowed using the resort's water, but Lynn and Becky (and I think Brenda and Cece) used them last year. Ask them about cost/quality/contact info.

Thanx DKB_SATX, but it's a rather slow day here @ Millwood Resort, so the (ditzy) girl in reception & maintenance guy said I could do it here, as long as I didn't create too much mud. I assured them that we are traveling w/three dogs & the LAST thing I want is a muddy campsite. So it looks like my "to-do" list for today is now full.

Oh, I didn't read carefully, I thought you were already at Catherine's Landing... I read "pulled up the Catherine's Landing website" as "pulled up to Catherine's Landing" d'oh!
Another option, when on the road, is a Blue Beacon truck wash. I haven't tried this personally... I'm afraid they might wash some paint off my Argosy! I stick to a very gentle hand-wash for the Argosy so I can put off a paint job as long as possible. Their website says pickup+travel trailer is $38.50, just the travel trailer is $24.50. (It's not a mechanized wash, but I'm still paranoid about the Argosy considering the amount of paint that ends up in the wash bucket when I wash it by hand.)

Boudin Packed, Cracklin Packed, making jambalaya tonight, full load of fuel all checked. We both developed a sinus cold /Allergies (too much time at the beach with heavy winds) - but we're Ready-2-Go at first light in the morning.
