Villa Power Recliners
One of our recliner’s rear motor mount bars broke away from the side frame. It tore the mounting bracket at the 90 degree angle. Has anyone had this happen and are parts available or do you have to replace the Leggett & Platt mount or weld it? Thanks in advance!

The least expensive option is take it apart and get it welded.

Yup, that’s a given.
Has anyone had this happen, if so, how difficult to pull the recliner base?

Mine broke. Had to remove the entire sofa. Upon inspection, I found metal fatigue on both recliners. I had doublers added and welded in place. I predict this will happen to Villa recliners after about 2-3 years of average use. Next time this happens (and it will). I’m dumping the sofa and putting in some decent recliners.

Thanks BAB. This is what I was looking for. Any tricks to removing the sofa or is it just removing the bolts from the base and seats?

Mine just broke. So just wondering, did you have it welded while the couch was inside the trailer? If not, how did you get the couch out of the trailer.
Also, what kind of welding was used - stick, MIG, etc?
Thanks.
