Which years had twin beds available?

Hi there- hoping for some help from this group. We’re searching for a Flying Cloud, 27-30’, roughly 2005-13. But looking at newer models (‘16 forward) we love the twin bed configuration. What I can’t seem to find is what years in that 05-13 time frame Airstream made the twin option, if at all, in the Flying Cloud.

Does anyone know, or could anyone point me in the right direction towards resources?

Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to the Airstream Forums. You've come to the right place to get an answer to your question on twin bed layouts.

I bet someone will jump in and answer your question. I did check the Airstream.com / service / archives and did not see a twin bed layout for the Flying Cloud model family in 2009. That was the first year I saw the Flying Cloud model.

Thank you! I’d been on the Airstream site, and read some interesting history (Wally Byam is from my home state of Oregon! How cool!) but couldn’t find any model year floor plan history.
Thank you!

I saw these to add to the list. I'm looking for FC twins as well, so any info you get I'd love to see.

We found twin bed models harder to locate but we love our 2013 FC 25 with that rear twin bed layout. It matches our dual reclining twin extra long beds in the house that together are the same size as a King. Thought it provided more options for camping (wife and sister etc). and more european really. No more crawling over top of anyone with different body temperatures etc. . I think twin beds were a really scarce feature the older you go but I did come across a mint 1970s AS in San Diego with twin beds from the factory ...

You can download brochures for the model years from the Airstream Website. https://www.airstream.com/owners/document-archive/

You know, you can always buy a rear queen and convert it to twins. That's what we did with out 2004 Classic 28. It is really pretty easy.

And I suppose the opposite is true, too? I’ve come across several Airstreams that I skipped over because they were set up with twin beds, and I’d prefer a queen (so I’ve been looking for FB or RB models, and also skipping CB models).
