spots on bottom of mattress
We have discovered some small spots on the bottom of our mattresses, one is more evident, and a few spots are dark. We have seen multiple other threads about problems with condensation and mold, we have already added the layer of ventilation mesh that sits between the mattress and the plywood, but that will only help going forward. Our key question is can we continue to use the mattress we have ? I paste a photo, we are not sure if this is considered a case where the mattress should be immediately tossed, or if we can wait a little longer. We have cleaned it and treated it but the dark shade remains. Thanks in advance for perspective.

you need a mattress underlay. Sail rite has them and probably amazon. Woven plastic mat that goes under the mattress and allows air to circulate.

That happened on ours. Like you we cleaned it as best we could, but it didn’t remove the spots. We’re still using ours a year later with no ill effects.

If you have an opening front window, are you sure it doesn't have a leak?
Our 2009 FC had a repair-resistant leak in the opening front window that caused our mattresses to get moldy. I finally tired of the dealer's efforts to help with gasket replacements and glued the window shut with a liberal dose of clear silicone sealer. Magic! The mold stopped re-occuring.
If you think about it, the leading face of a trailer is a pretty stupid place to put an opening window because it is pressurized on the outside by the air that pushes against it when under tow. Further, if you travel with a roof vent open, this creates lower pressure inside the trailer. Both things cause the front opening window gasket to leak.

Try 30 second. It does a great job of getting rid of mold and stains.
Then find a way to prop the mattress up like has been suggested already. We put some small plastic containers under ours when it sits for a while so air can circulate. We also got a small dehumidifier that we run in the rainy season.
If you have any doors in the bed frame, open them up as well to keep your air temp the same under the mattress plywood.

I would spritz those spots with some hydrogen peroxide. That will kill any mold it comes in contact with, and perhaps it will remove the spots.
I would continue using the mattress, if it were me. Mold is everywhere, contact can't be avoided. When mold gets moist and it starts to procreate it releases spores, which is what people should avoid.

Consider also some of the enzyme based spot remover like "Kids and Pets". It will digest the organic material and remove most of the stain. Oxy Clean or similar will "bleach" the remaining stain.
As others indicated, definitely try to discover the source of moisture. Perhaps one of the outer storage compartment doors is leaking.

I'd clean it as best I could then forget about it.

As others have written, your mattress is salvageable. The issue is why did it happen and what longer term moisture management program is needed to prevent a reoccurrence.
Look for a leak as well as use the information found here:
