Air conditioner

Just have noticed that when we put our heater on, the air conditioner comes on. We are hooked up to full hookups. Why? The AC is only suppose to come on when it is on HP ( heat pump) and we have it set for furnace.

With the TV problem and the heater/ ac problem I guess it's really time to pull out the manuals.

The tv manual is worthless for basic, how to get started information. The manual r/t heater and AC is of no help either. We know how to operate the heater. This AC coming on while using the heater just began. We have used the trailer for one year.

What is the outside temp when you are trying to use the ac/hp?

Heater/AC problem

We were trying to use the heater, not the AC, and the AC would come on while the heater was on. Mot was like 45 degrees out.

If you get cooling when you are calling for the heat pump, you either have a bad reversing valve in the upper unit or a bad relay board. Also, a small possibility that the thermostat is 'confused'.

First, try to re-set your thermostat (procedure should be in the Dometic Comfort Control center manual).

If that won't change anything, you need a competent RV tech with experience working on Dometic units to check out the reversing valve and/or control board.

Ahhhhh, you have the Dometic Comfort Control II. Next time you ask for assistance, it would be of great benefit to provide your trailer year or type of equipment that you are trying to discuss.

Makes things a whole lot clearer!!

If your fan setting on the CCC-II is NOT on auto, the fan ONLY comes on in the A/C unit to help circulate the hot air coming from your furnace and rising to the ceiling.....

I guess the engineers at Dometic thought this would be a great feature.....

It is the FAN ONLY. The compressor never starts when this happens on 'furnace' and 'auto'

I need a little bit a help. I have a new 2014 flying cloud 25. I live in south Texas so the winters are really kind of mild. Today I wanted to light the furnace for the first time and was unable to find the paperwork that came with the unit. I wanted to see if anyone could walk me through the procedure for placing furnace in service. I'm told the unit will smoke a little the first few times. I wanted to work through this issue at home. Thanks ahead of tome
