Not Brian but I've crossed the Mackinac Bridge a dozen or more times with trailers. What did you want to know?

I see that they will drive it across for you, is it that bad? I'm normally skittish about things like that. Just wanted to hear a few stories.

Yes I believe they will drive it across for you. But since I'm a total Bridge Freak - I love'em - needless to say I've never used their service. I didn't consider it bad and there is a very low commercial truck speed limit - 15 or 20 mph. And you can never imagine in your wildest dreams how many souvenirs they've found in that area to put a picture of a bridge on!

OK, that doesn't sound too bad. Couldn't be much worse than the Hughey P Long bridge.

We crossed the Mackinac Bridge with Old Lucy about five or six years ago. As I recall it was a very windy day. We had to wait for about ten minutes to cross the bridge with two semis. We followed a Michigan State Police Trooper across the bridge.

I have been looking at a 25FB Queen and see that there is limited outside storage. Does anyone know if the 27FB with the bed turned 90 degrees has the same type of outside storage as the 25FB twin?

I don't know for sure, but I would doubt it. The twins give full width storage at the front or rear.

I would not think so either as the north/south queen bed in the 27FB would not allow for any front side exterior storage compartments.

In 2 portable 3' x 2' X 2' sturdy plastic bins, we carry a Colman 2 burner propane stove, a small single burner propane cook top, fire starter, solar lantern, hand axe, small saw, 3 lb slug hammer, table cloths, pancake grill pan, folding 2 gal bucket, 3 gal solar shower, folding dish pan, rubber gloves, grill gloves, grill brush/scraper, grill lighters. These 2 bins easily fit in back of F-150 and are not heavy. Easy in/easy out.

Also carry folding O-Grill and O-Grill table, portable shade cover in the bed area. Kayaks go on a rack system when we are going to use them.

Rest of our cloths, personal items, folding GoPro solar panel, dishes, etc. permanently store all inside AS. Any items we bring like food, wine, liquor, crackers, we carry in portable plastic boxes which slide under kitchen table while traveling, along with GoPro. We have both electric 8 cup and stove top coffee pots stored above spice rack. Although we have 1000w inverter and solar top off on AGM batteries, we have not used the electric coffee pot when no shore power; just stove top..

We have our inside storage "tweaked" to work for us after 7 years and 3- 25' AS's. The newer 25' and larger models with 3-4 storage bins outside on the twin models, is a great addition! The 27' and larger models have even larger outside bins, but we are happy with our 25...just miss the ducted air and now the louvers....maybe next year.

Water filter- We have been somewhat lucky with our fresh water connections. still using original under sink filter 45 nights, no issues yet. We also have a filter on our outside hose, but likely will change out now to make sure..

There is some additional limited storage in Lucy behind the furnace vent under the wardrobe. That whole section opens on a hinge on the left side. This is where I access Lucy's water pump. There is limited storage room in that compartment. This is where I keep Lucy's small spare parts.

I bought Lucy one of the Pentek "B" filters on Amazon. It came today and I installed it after removing the bypass line. I put the adapters on it from the old filter. It installed easily and didn't leak. I guess I'm good for another six months.

Excellent! I am going to replace mine too. Don't know why I never checked that filter as the cause for low pressure at the kitchen sink and good pressure in the bathroom.

I decided that the low pressure at the kitchen sink must have been the filter as the pressure in the bathroom sink and the shower were just fine. I thought that one of those filters would have been good for longer than six months/80 nights.

I saw that space and was impressed at the easy access to the water pump.

I have an AS PDF with the 2016 changes but darned if I know how to attach it from my iPad.

I never thought to use that space for storage. I wish there was a way to make the pump quieter. Any thoughts?

mrprez- I found my pump got louder and found the shelf was only help by one screw and that one was loose. It got a lot quieter when I put in a couple of new screws. I also put pipe insulation on the pipes that might touch cabinetry or each other.
