Chase, we bought the GMC inIllinois at Laura GMC largest dealer in US. Had 92 2500HD on the lot. They sell about 28 a week! We average 18.6 for 1300 miles at about 70 mph on the way home. Impressive.
We have a topper and a bedside on order should arrive this week, that will limit the bed crawl routine I hope.

Gary,
That Classic is a Beautiful piece of art. I understand they can't be ordered currently do to back log.
The Classic is why we bought 2500 to pull 25fb, just in case we feel the need for more room.

Flying Cloud 25FB

I know this has a built-in pressure regulator, but does this model or any of the Flying Clouds have built-in water filter? Thanks in advance for your replies!

New Lucy has a built-in replaceable water filer under the kitchen sink. It comes with a filter replacement pipe for use when the system is winterized.

Keep in mind that the internal water filter under the sink filters only the water to the kitchen faucet. We also use one of the big blue external water filters to filter all of the water coming into Lucy from the city water connection.

Hi Brian,
I am just starting to research the available under counter filter systems. What are you currently using in New Lucy? Also, very impressive waste disposal system as shown in your photo. Jim

Below is a picture of the filter that came from the factory with New Lucy.

Also, the waste system that we use is the Sewer Solution. We have been using it exclusively for the last eight years.

Thank you Brian. It looks like it is similar to the Hydro Life Undercounter Filter Kit made by Camco and available through Camping World. I Appreciate your input. Jim

Brian, man Pentek has a lot of filters. Does your filter attach to some John Guest fittings, so it is easy in and out and are they easily found? Jim

I'll go out to Lucy and dig out the winterizing replacement pipe and take a picture of the fittings. All I have to do is find it.

Hi moosetags, thanks for the photo of New Lucy all hooked up in her "slip" for the night. The sewer connection in that campground is exactly why we need a sewer solution. It appears it would be a challenge to drain the holding tanks with a gravity "slinky". My old 86 holding tank drain connection is often lower than the darn campground connection. And add the height of the 90 elbow that connects to the campground connection and the slinky is 6" off the ground.

And filtering campground water before entering the trailer makes perfect sense. The filter under the sink makes less sense. I removed the filter in the 86 as it was more difficult to perform the winterization and it was messy to change the element.

I'm surprised New Lucy's shore power connection is not on the street side. It looks like the power cord is running under the rear of the trailer.

New Lucy sure looks nice in your photo.

David

New Lucy has one of those new fancy 30 amp hook-ups at the front of the trailer.

The problem I've had with CG water is sediment plugging up all the faucet aerators. So I use a sediment filter whenever I hook to city water and when I fill the tank. The kitchen sink filter also does taste and odor- but only on the cold water, not the hot. But that's OK, as the hot is only for washing, not cooking and drinking. When we're being very water aware and without city water, I'll fill a Brita filter pitcher for drinking and cooking, saving the on board water for everything else.

What is that sewer connection adaptor in the picture? And are you parked at Disney's Fort Wilderness?

That is Fort Wilderness and the sewer connection is standard Sewer Solution fare.

I'm heading there next month. Are you in one of the Premium spots? Trying to go as cheaply as possible. (Sorry for being quite so off-topic)

PS- I'm new to this and have never even dumped my black tank yet. However, having watched the Sewer Solution video now I went ahead and ordered it.

Brian,
Thanks for the info on the sewer solution.
I have watched the video and ordering today.
Do you have any difficulty back washing new Lucy's tank.
The video indicated some configurations may not backwash effectively.
Being a newbie, I was wondering, do most dump sites has fresh water available to use this system when departing the campground.
