2015 Can not get DVD Player

The TV is on, Set to HDMI1, the HDMI switcher/splitter is powered on, the Blue Ray is on, but TV displays No Signal. There are no instructions or explanations to be found, but now that I think about it there were none on my 2012 either.

I called and chatted with the dealer service department. It was determined that I must have a loose connection caused by travels. I took the stereo head unit out. What a mess. Not a thing is marked and it is nothing but a jumble of wires and cables. I found one connector open but no mating connector. I have no idea what it is for. Everything is hooked up to the splitter correctly but the splitter does not respond at all according to how the service guy said it should. Even the setup or switch buttons on the unit itself do not change anything. It is just bad!!! By process of elimination I finally found the correct HDMI cable for the dining room TV and hooked it directly to the DVD player. It now works. While looking at the back of the DVD player there are no audio cables at all connecting to the stereo so no sound through the stereo speakers. It is very obvious that the factory did not check out the system at all nor the dealer. During the walk thru it was explained to me how it should work but there was no demo DVD to check the system with so it was not tested. My mistake!!! Very disappointed in both the factory and dealer but I guess it is all on me for not forcing the dealer to come up with a DVD to check, but then I could have just checked that the DVD splash screen was there. Kick myself!!

I will schedule a service visit tomorrow. This is so very disappointing.

Ours needs to be on HDMI2. They plug it into that one because the power supply for the TV is velcroed next to the HDMI 1 port. Try that first.

Also the audio cables for the stereo come from the TV, not the blue ray player. I doubt you have a loose cable already. Our dealer checked all that on our PDI and went over every inch of our trailer. We got a briefcase full of manuals with our trailer. You should have too. I think it's a "settings" issue.

HDMI cables carry both picture and sound. "surround sound" taps the back of the tv (left/right phono cables) and runs them back to the radio (mine is a Sony). The radio (CD mode, aux/cd2) then can play the dvd sound along with/without the tv speakers.
Yes, a manual is your best friend to discover all the bells and whistles.

I took the stereo back out and there was a jack not plugged in all the way. The jack coming from the TV for sound. Then the AUX input started working for the TV/DVD sound output. There is nothing in the myriad of documents that explains this just got to keep looking. The DVD has the higher quality Digital sound output but the inexpensive stereo does not have a digital sound input which is why they bring it all the way back from the TV. One of the winter projects will be to put a real A/V Stereo control/system in.
