We purchased a 2015 INTL Serenity 28 last week. Been Rving since 1971.
Have had 4 previous TT and a TC. Looking forward to learning more about Airstreams. Can't wait to take it on a long trip.

I have read all the massive paperwork 2 times that you receive when you purchase a new one. No where does it tell me where the AC Filters are. There are 20 pages of instructions on operation of the AC/heat pump controller. I page with no pics about maintenance of the unit.

Looking forward to meeting other Airstream owners.

Welcome to AirForums.

I'm not certain regarding 2015 models, but in earlier models using Dometic ACs there are two reusable filter screens that pull out for cleaning. Look at the bottom front of your AC and there should be a tab on each side...one for each filter.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to haveyou with us.

The ducted air conditioning in you 2015 Airstream is a brand new feature this year. It is not addressed in the manuals. We have a 2015 25FB. You can remove the air returns (the rectangle ducts in the ceiling) and access a really chincy foam filter. I plan to replace the filter with something better, but haven't yet. Here is a picture of one of mine removed.

Hi from AZ. . .Welcome to the group ! good info from Brian, I wish our '10 FC28 had ducted air. We love the trailer though, in spite of a couple of shortcomings.. . If you head West, visit a 4 Corners Unit Rally, fun folks., regards, Craig

Hi 1boyscout. I don't remember any unique and luxurious Airstreams while I was a boy scout! I remember leaky and cold tents. Congratulations on your new trailer. The ducted AC is all the rage now. I understand it is much quieter than the roof mounted one we have. Our trailer sounds like an airliner when ours is on! Way noisy. But we get used to it.

You should post a picture of your new Airstream, both inside and out. I love looking at the new ones.

I hope you have many, many happy travels in the future.

David

Yep, looking forward to finding a new filtration option. The foam filter that is on there is fine for large particulate which is important, but does nothing for allergens which will be a big deal this June. Whatever goes on there will reduce airflow though so it's a double edged sword. Welcome to the club from one newbie to another!
