New AS 25FB Water Heater Issue

First time camper on first weekend short trip. Can't get the water to come on. Tried both switches in bathroom but red light stayed on all night. Now light won't even come on. Gas valves are on, plugged into shore power 130 amp and city water. I opened the WH pressure valve and water came out so tank has water in it. Any ideas as to what is wrong

Make sure the hot water bypass is not engaged. In the bedroom, under the closet is a panel. Behind that panel is a valve that can BYPASS the hot water heater. I discovered the same thing about halfway through my first ever camping trip in our new 25FB last fall.

Hope that fixes it.

hope that's not it, because with the element on (gas or electric) and no water in the tank bad things can happen!
