Microwave

The Franklin Chef microwave in our 2015 27ft FB International Serenity leaves much to be desired. If you replaced your Franklin Chef, would you kindly share make/model.

Thanks so much,

Randy

Wow, I thought the Franklin Chef looks amazingly like the Contoure offered now.
Then I saw this:

We also have direct microwave oven replacements for some of the discontinued models including: Franklin Chef, Origo microwave, Tappan Microwave, Contoure Microwave, Haier and Frigidaire to name a few..
At .7 cu ft. the Contoure I have is pretty small, but for me it's okay. I use it to heat frozen veggies. The alternative microwave under the stovetop was a deal breaker for me.

Our 2015 Serenity Sharp micro waive died 1 month past warranty. The Exhaust fan over the stove top died the first week we went camping. The black connection leaked the 1st trip also. I love the towing.
at least it was warrantied.

I started out with a Sunbeam SGS10701 for the conversion I detail in this thread for a FC25FB. It's the smallest useful microwave I've found but not sure if it will work in your case. It's an annoying user interface and is under powered but it does the job.

That thread also shows a clever conversion of part of the lounge seating to a microwave/counter. That will allow you to put any microwave you like in it. Not sure if that would be of interest for your 27'.

I'm going to do that conversion and probably use a 950w Panasonic microwave . That wouldn't fit where you old one was, though.

I just replaced the microwave in our 2013 International 27FB. The original was a Haier brand that is discontinued. I replaced it with a Black + Decker model EM720CB7 purchased on Amazon. The microwave is located in the middle pull-out drawer to the left of the cooktop/oven range and is a 700 watt 0.7 cu.ft. unit. It is a perfect replacement fit.
