Got My First Airstream Today!

Hello,

Just took delivery today of my new 2012 Airstream Interstate 23D today from Bates RV in Dover, FL.! Michael Dautel and the great folks at Bates definitely made it a special day!

We love it!

Spending our first night in St. Augustine, FL on our shake down trip going back home to Winston Salem, NC.

Again we love!

Thanks to everyone for answering my questions!

...and since I live in Greensboro, please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions. I AM a bit curious as to why you didn't buy locally -- Out of Doors Mart in Colfax has a super reputation....and in any event, they'll take very good care of you no matter where you bought.

Bought from Frank Bates RV

Bab,

I went to Out of Doors and looked at the ones they had, but they really didn't have what I was looking for. Pretty limited inventory... I went and talked to them and they showed me what they had. They seemed very nice. I told them I wanted to think about it some more. They took my phone number, etc. and gave me a brochure. They asked was it OK to call me. I said sure. I have never heard from them since.

Called Michael Dautel at Frank Bates RV in Dove, Fl. and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Huge inventory (58 Airstreams on site). They had exactly what I was looking for. The price was considerably under what Out of Doors had quoted me. Made the deal on the phone. Drove down and was treated fantasticly!

thanks

I bought my Safari Bunkhouse from Bates back in 06. Definately best price anywhere and I called nationwide. My particular unit had been on the lot a year so I had some detailing to do myself to get it feeling "new" even though it was technically.

Love the cow...frank bates himself "saves you mooolah!!"

Glad to hear this was such a good experience. ODM will take good care of your service needs. I was out there last Friday and they have sold most of their inventory...quite a few on order, and I'm glad they are doing well financially!

Oh how exciting!! I was just reading Bates' website today. My husband and I are contemplating our first Airstream and currently are set on the 27FB INternational with the taupe finish. I absolutely love it, but I have not committed yet .

Twinkiemand - would you mind sharing where there is a 27FB International with taupe finish? Only curious as we purchased ours a few weeks ago and it was slim pickings then.
