Bedroom TV size in 27FB?

Hello...tried to do a search on this. We are purchasing a 27FB and it does not come with the bedroom TV? The AV jack/plug in place. What size are we limited to with the queen bed configuration? I don't have "big TV-itis", just really bad eyesight! I'm assuming we will need an articulating mount and tie downs of some sort when underway? Any input appreciated.

Thanks!

Becky

Had a TV installed at Jackson Center in my bedroom. I had them put the same model arm assembly that they used in the living area. Bought a TV at Walmart and they installed it. I'll check the size and let you know. I have the twin bed configuration and the arm and TV are attached on the side of one of the cabinets.
Perfect location and is out of the way until we want to use it.

Thanks Bluto and Dave. I was looking (squinting) at the 22" and 26" yesterday at Sam's. Hoping the 26" will fit. Ha, Scott don't give dear husband any ideas. He'll have one on the ceiling or my spot in the bed!

The 22 sounds small but since you can't be more than 6 feet away, it seems bigger.

Hi, we originally bought a really neat looking 15" TV for our trailer; Years later we replaced that TV with a Samsung 22" TV. [note: the cases of both TVs are the same size] Our's sits on the Credenza in the living room. We don't have one for the bedroom and more than likely never will. On our 50 day Alaska trip, we never even used our TV. Some times it's better to not hear the (BAD) news while you are away from home. Anyway, I think 22"s is a good size for a trailer.

Thanks..I unfortunately am an insomniac (it's 1AM here), so the idiot box in the bedroom keeps me sane until I fall sleep eventually. Your 50 days in Alaska sounds dreamy. It's on our 2013 "must see" list. I'll have to pester you for details when our trip gets a little closer!

Again thanks,

Becky

Hi, Becky. Go to "On The Road" section of this forum and Locate "Bob and Lee's random trip" to read and see pictures of our Alaska trip.

Well Bob and Lee...I'm just a few pages into your blog and am already in love with your faucet upgrade. Looks fab. Will check out the Alaska photos too. Thanks!

Thumbs up

We originally went with a 32" Sharp Aquas, fit, but just barely. Plus it was a moose to secure while while underway.

Switched to a 22" Samsung, much more doable in the AS....sooper picture also!!

Thanks Bob...I'm guessing we'll need a 22" then from what we are reading. Would measure, but we haven't picked the unit up yet. We are in NW Florida, the AS is in California. Hard to just bop over with the tape measure. We are dog sitting for the neighbors, cat sitting for our kids through Christmas and then we are OUTTA here to pick up our new rolling condo. Come on Dec 30th!!!

Rooster55,
I finally had a chance to measure the TV in the bedroom. I have a 19" in there and a 22" in the living area.

I still think you should figure out how to fit a 55" TV in there somehow...

If big ol' Santa can fit in a chimney, there should be a way to get a big ol' TV in there. Then you won't have to squint to see your TV shows.

I mounted a 22" LCD in the bedroom of my 27FB. I used Moview's WSSL single-arm mount, which has locking mechanism for RV applications. Airstream uses the WDSL model for the living area TV mount. I chose the model that swings out and to the left.

22" is fine for us, and with this mount, you can release it and pull it another 10-12" forward as well. We usually just keep it locked to the wall.

Moview: WSSL Single Swing Arm Mount w/ Lock

We have a 34' limited with a queen bed that runs east and west. Our heads go on the curb side so I mounted a small shelf on the wall of the bathroom. We have a 19" Visio that fits perfectly, and I can watch it without my cheaters. When traveling I just place it screen side down on the bed.

Regards,

Reganzo

We put a 19" Samsung LED in with a flush mount. Fits nicely in between the controls and bulkhead.

Thanks Bluto..I was curious as to what size the living area TV is too, so that answered that. Couldn't find it in any of the literature.

Hmm...Scott I'm thinking projection TV if we go big. Just shoot it onto an awning drive-in style : ) Good grief, we were in Sam's again (my poor husband) and they had a 90" LED!!! I'm not even that blind. Sheesh.
