30-Amp Power Cord - LEDs not working
Not an emergency here, as everything electrically appears to be working just fine - even battery charging. Neither the LED on the end of the cable, nor the LED on the power hatch door will come on. They both worked fine just a couple of weeks ago, but haven't worked at the last 3 different campsite visits. It's just one of those little nagging aggravations... I use those little LEDs to verify there's power at the post and at the camper.
Any ideas?

I didn't have a good experience with the Furrion LED's with my '12 28' Intl CCD. They died after a couple of months. Eventually, I ended up replacing the 30amp cable, and the LED's on the replacement lasted a couple of months. Just didn't have good luck with them, though I really like the Furrion product line.

Bruce, Me too. The led's lasted about 6 trips for me and both are out. There are plenty of posts on the failure, it is not repairable. I bought a Marinco cord, which I like better anyhow.

One of my Furrion LEDs was dead from day one. Did you try the other one on your trailer?

They may come on again.
The LED indicator on my cord was "hibernating" since last fall and this past weekend decided to show it's beautiful blue eye. =)

The one in my cord went out after a couple years, the receptacle light still works. Been plugged in in the sun for about 18 months total so the cord is showing lots of surface sun damage, have to consider it a consumable item after a few years' heavy use.
I agree about the convenience of the light, nice to know power is at the trailer when you flick the pedestal breaker on.

Thanks All! Sounds like I'm not alone here with this LED problem. I checked around and found that a new cord with LED will be about $90. Who knows, as GenXair says - they may come back on! So, I think I'll just deal with no LED for a while longer. Thanks for the input.

The little lights are nice, but the important thing is full power coming through. My lights are still working after six years. I use a shore power line protector to filter the shore power and guarantee that it isn't reversed polarity, over or under voltage, or otherwise messed up. At a fairgrounds in St. Augustine last March the power jumped to 150 volts and my line protector caught it and shut down the connection. The line protector has lights on it to tell me when it is powered, testing, fully on, or an incident has occurred. Can be put on either end of an supplemental 30 amp cord.

I started a post about this back in January, not 2-3 weeks after buying my Intl. I liked the LED indicator on the heads but they went out. The ones on the AS itself still work though. There is/was a campaign to replace/repair/update the cord or the receptacle thingy from the factory but apparently mine was in fact complied with prior to departure. My dealer told me they would give me a new cord but these guys have been so good I refused it and chose wondering about my polarity. Just another way I like to "live riveted" I guess!
