Interesting on the hot water tank. I know I saw 10 gallons on something. Out of curiosity, do people usually turn the heater completely off when not planning to take a shower or other hot water use? If it's going to attempt to keep 6-10 gallons of water at 160 degrees all the time, I think I would.

If we're not planning a shower that evening, we turn the hot water on for about thirty minutes to get a little hot water for washing dishes, etc.

Wife and I just down sized from a 36' 5th wheel toy hauler to a 2015 23FB Interstate.

We found that we spent 90% of the time out under the awning or around the camp fire........so we just need a comfortable floor plan, plenty of storage which the 23FB has.

Now I just need a ramp to get the toy in the back of the Ram diesel.

Random aspects of water heater and showers

Water holds it's temperature for a while.

To heat water up from room temperature takes a while, and MAYBE uses more propane than if you just left it on.

I think liquid soaps are easier and quicker when trying to conserve water.

28 gallon fresh + 6 in water heater,,, I can take 3 showers without turning the water off ( not in a row ). A teenage girl with long hair can get one.

So I take a ten gallon shower, and have 6 gallons of hot water.
