i bought a dish tailgater does anyone know how to hook it up i went under the blue ray player and unplugged the hdmi cord from the blue ray and plugged in the black box and ran hdmi cord from blue ray to a splitter i have 2016 flying cloud

Just hooked one up in early December. The factory splitter box needs to be replaced with a 2x2 box, two inputs, two outputs. After replacing the splitter plug in the blue ray. Purchase a second HDMI cord & run it between the splitter & dish receiver. Now your wired for both blue ray & dish tv. I purchased the new splitter box online for around $35.

I assume you have a Dish account? I know a Dish receiver ViP 222k works with the Tailgater. I am not sure if other receivers will work with it. You can call Dish Support for set up help.
